PRICES - Costs quoted on this site are maintained as up to date as possible., if goods are out of stock and prices increase as new stock is received, we reserve the right to increase or decrease prices accordingly.  We shall not accept Internet orders until prices are confirmed. Errors and omissions excepted, in Pounds Sterling (£) and subject to carriage and 20% VAT.

EXCHANGE ITEMS - Exchange items are where we supply a part that we expect a core old unit back. Old serviceable units must be returned to us before replacements can be supplied.

TERMS - Cash with order please. Any credit or debit will be shown on the invoice. Cheques should be made payable to "Amazon Cars ltd".

CREDIT CARDS - We accept Visa, Delta, Switch and Mastercard on mail order or telephone orders, subject to conditions.

DATA & PAYMENTS -Personal and customer records are held securely on our system and will not be disclosed to any outside 3rd parties.
Your payment details are destroyed after use on your order. Our website uses the industry standard secure Socket Layer (SSL) 256 BIT technology to provide provide encrypted sending and receiving of personal information, such as your name, address and credit card details. All your personal data is stored in 256 bit ESA encryption on our databases. In this way information passed between your computer/device and our website the encryption makes intercepting it extremely difficult and unlikely for unauthorised people to see. All credit and debit card transactions take place in a secured environment, always check there is a padlock shown in any browser of any site you use. We will only use SSL Technology to protect your data, please ensure that you set 'Allow all Cookies' for AMAZONCARS.CO.UK as blocking Cookies can affect your order information.

GUARANTEE - We endeavour to comply with the Trade Descriptions Act by giving accurate descriptions of the goods offered for sale. Should any customers feel that there are any misrepresentations, would they please advise us so that we may amend the description.

LIABILITY - We accept liability only for items which are proved faulty by reason of our negligence. Such liability is limited to the price paid for the item and does not include any consequential loss.

ORDERING - The use of original numbers does not indicate supply of original parts. We reserve the right to supply pattern/remanufactured parts as necessary. it is the purchaser's responsibility to ensure and check that parts supplied are suitable for the vehicle and use intended by them, and the supplier gives no warranty express or implied of suitability.

EU – We are happy to ship goods into the EU, please contact us for shipping costs.

Americas – Unfortunately our insurance liability does not allow us to ship goods to the USA, Canada, Central and South America. We are still more than happy to give advice, so please do still contact us.

DELIVERY - We endeavour to supply all orders within five working days, occasionally, some items will not be in stock and will be marked 'to follow' on the invoice and will be dispatched immediately new stock arrives. If goods are not in stock we will inform you of expected delivery dates.

FAULTY OR DAMAGED ITEMS - We must be notified on receipt of goods. If goods sent by carrier sign "damaged" if apparent. A claim submitted if goods are received and endorsed "not checked", "unexamined" or different words of the same effect on the Delivery Note are not adequate in case of claim.

COMPETITION parts are supplied for specialist use and are subject to extreme heat and stress whilst in use. Life expectancy and durability are greatly reduced and purchasers should note that the Company shall not entertain any claim for failure/wear and it is agreed that such use shall be a relevant circumstance for the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended). In addition, parts connected to parts supplied by this Company may be placed under stress where specialist/competition parts are used, and purchasers should take advice from experts prior to purchase. Manufacturers may also limit guarantees when parts are installed for competition use.

Where goods are defective, incorrectly supplied, delayed or otherwise in breach of the    implied terms of the buyer’s statutory rights, all losses which result from loss of competition points, awards, loss of entry fees or other similar losses, are excluded and shall not be reclaimable from the Company. In addition, the Company shall accept no liability for death or personal injury unless directly caused by its own negligence.

No liability is accepted where purchasers attempt to modify or install components supplied where it is known or ought reasonably to be known that the part supplied is incorrectly supplied, defective or otherwise not in accordance with the order.

PARTS WARRANTY. All new & reconditioned parts are covered by a 12 month manufacturer's warranty unless specifically stated. You should notify Amazon Cars immediately if a potential warranty situation arises. We will then advice a course of action. Any suspected faulty part must be returned to us together with proof of purchase and with as much information relating to the problem as possible. Please note that a defective part must be returned and received by us before it can be exchanged. All warranty parts are subject to physical inspection. This may involve returning the part to our supplier to verify the fault before it can be exchanged. Defective items are backed 100% and can be returned for exchange only.

The warranty period commences from our invoice date not from the date of installation or first use.  This warranty covers defects to the part when fitted & used correctly for normal everyday vehicle use. It will not apply to parts used for any extraordinary or unusual uses such as competition, racing, rallying or parts subsequently stripped down, altered, modified or adapted etc, in any way from their original design or intended use.

Although we are, by law liable for death or personal injury caused by our proven negligence and by The Sale of Goods Act 1979, our warranty only covers the parts in question and not to any consequential loss or cost, eg garage labour, recovery, car hire, re-delivery, parking fines etc. No claim will be validated if the failure is caused by miss-use, neglect, overheating, incorrect installation or failure of a related component.

Any part replaced or repaired under warranty, will only benefit from the balance or the cover remaining from the original purchase date. Warranties are not transferable. Acceptance of goods is deemed as acceptance of these terms. The warranties are in addition to, and do not affect your statutory consumer rights.

 

RIGHT TO CANCEL - (Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Directive 97/7/EC). The right to cancel allows you time to examine the goods. The cooling off period starts when the contract is concluded and ends 7 working days after the day the goods are received. The right to cancel does not apply to rubbers, materials which have been cut off rolls, number plates or any other item made to order.

When customers exercise the right to cancel they are under a duty to take reasonable care of the goods and to return them to us in the condition they were supplied. It shall be the responsibility of the customer to cover return postage costs. It is advised that returned items be sent via recorded mail as we cannot be responsible for lost items.

Order cancellations must be submitted to us in writing - email, fax or letter.

VAT - All dispatches to the UK are subject to VAT (currently 20%) on the prices shown; Also chargeable on sales to EEC member countries (exceptions only on certain conditions)

CARRIAGE 

U.K. - We have a minimum postage/packing of £3.50 per order for first Class Post of small items less than 1Kg. We will despatch by the most economical method possible. Our standard basic carrier charge is £10.00 per parcel of less than 10kgs for most of the UK. Items requiring extra packaging on wood or in tubes are charged extra. The Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland are despatched by the most cost effective means and subject to extra charges and their size restrictions (please see further price details below)

Large Parcels and Overseas - We are restricted by postal services criteria for some despatches of goods over 1 metre long, depending on country. We despatch goods less than 2kg weight by small packet, larger consignments are sent by parcel mail or road carrier into Europe. Costs are dependent on weight of order, length of order and country of destination. Please specify whether you require air or sea despatch of packages/parcels. Other means of freight are available subject to negotiation.
